Denise Cope has 20+ years of experience in international education. She is the President of Affordable Degrees Abroad, a service for US students seeking education overseas. Before that, she was the Director of the Office of International Education at the University of Denver, where she was responsible for sending more than 4,000 students to study abroad. Lewis Gibson is Originally from Wellington, New Zealand and spent a large part of his youth as an unofficial kiwi ambassador living in Japan and England. This international experience influenced him greatly, leading him to study Japanese through High School and participate on the Wellington Sister-City Exchange to Sakai City in Osaka. Lewis later returned to Japan as an adult to teach English at Elementary and Junior High School on the JET Programme. Now working for Education New Zealand at the New Zealand Embassy in Washington, D.C., Lewis works to promote the benefits of a New Zealand education to an international audience. Focusing on North America exclusively, Lewis works to advance the goals of the New Zealand International Education Strategy by promoting New Zealand as a diverse and inclusive education destination.
DuBois Jennings is the Director of Engagement in North America for Education New Zealand and has been in the field of international education for 12 years. He has an M.A in international education from the School for International Training (SIT) and has worked on university campuses as well as for a study abroad provider where he managed partnerships with colleges and universities in the northeast United States. With a training background focusing on academic and professional development, DuBois has panel participant and guest speaker at institutions all over the northeast. His passion and expertise is in developing ways to increase access to and better support for underrepresented students in education abroad.
